Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Physical demands includes lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • The duties and obligations associated with the role can differ depending on the specific Aramark site and the demands of the client and operational priorities
  • Food is cooked and prepared by following production instructions and standardized recipes
  • Prepares the work area with all the necessary ingredients and tools
  • Prepares components through tasks such as measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and removing peel from food items
  • Safely employing different kitchen tools, such as knives, is essential
  • Utilizes machinery such as ovens, ranges, cutting tools, blenders, etc.
  • Utilizes an array of cooking techniques like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meat, vegetables, and other food items
  • Organizes, decorates, and serves food in alignment with predetermined standards
  • Adheres to and follows food safety protocols and guidelines in storing food appropriately
  • Ensures workspaces, tools, and implements are clean and free of germs
  • Upholds exceptional customer service and maintains a positive attitude when interacting with guests, customers, clients, and colleagues
  • Follows Aramark safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring precise food safety and cleanliness measures are upheld
  • Safeguards the integrity of corporate resources
