The Department Head will be responsible for managing the kitchen team and ensuring that all food produced meets our rigorous standards for taste, presentation, and safety. This includes maintaining a sanitary workspace, supervising food preparation processes, and implementing quality control measures.

The Department Head will also take a strategic role in the restaurant’s operations by planning menus that excite our guests and align with current food trends and seasonality. Managing budgets effectively and maintaining accurate financial records such as payroll and food costs are critical to this role. Additionally, this position involves working closely with the restaurant owners and directors to coordinate equipment repairs and upkeep, ensuring kitchen operations run smoothly without interruption.

In this leadership capacity, training and developing the culinary staff in cooking methods, portion control, and presentation techniques is crucial for maintaining consistency and excellence across all dishes served. Job Duties

  • The department head responsible for the restaurant's kitchen

  • Other duties include menu planning, budget preparation, and maintenance of payroll, food cost and other records
  • Specific duties involve food preparation and establishing quality standards, and training employees in cooking methods, presentation techniques and portion control, works with the owners and director on equipment repair and maintenance
