Job Description
Primrose School of Greenville is part of the renowned Primrose Schools network, a mission-driven early childhood education organization dedicated to nurturing and developing young minds. Established with a commitment to providing the highest quality education and care, Primrose School of Greenville emphasizes a Balanced Learning4 approach that blends child-initiated activities with teacher-guided experiences, aimed at fostering curiosity, confidence, problem-solving, and lifelong learning skills. This school stands out as a leader in early education by creating a safe, healthy environment where children, families, and staff thrive together. The culture here promotes inclusivity, community involvement, and continuous professional growth, making it an inspiring place to work and contribute to meaningful outcomes for children in the Greenville area.
As a Chef at Primrose School of Greenville, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and development of the children enrolled. Your primary responsibility will be preparing delicious, nutritious meals that not only meet but exceed the standards necessary to support active, growing children. You will ensure that every meal served helps fuel their explorations, playtime, and learning throughout the day with balanced nutritional content suitable for early childhood. Working closely with the Director and the rest of the team, you will follow carefully crafted daily menus that cater to the needs of all children, especially those with allergies or specific dietary restrictions.
This role requires your dedication to upholding stringent food safety guidelines and your attention to detail in ordering and inventory management to guarantee that the kitchen runs efficiently without compromising quality. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating an environment where children are encouraged to develop healthy eating habits, thus supporting their overall well-being and developmental milestones.
Primrose School provides more than employment; it offers opportunities for professional development and community engagement, including charity events and local initiatives to give back. The compensation for this role ranges from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, reflecting the school's recognition of the importance of this position within the educational team. You will also benefit from a comprehensive package including free uniforms, training and development programs, tuition assistance, performance bonuses, health insurance, and paid time off—all designed to help you succeed and grow as you make a lasting difference in childrens lives. Joining Primrose School of Greenville means joining a community that deeply values every child and employee, united by a mission to build a brighter future for all children through trusted, quality early childhood care and education.
