Job Requirements
- Five plus years managerial experience in a high-volume restaurant
- experience with back of house administrative and managerial duties
- knowledge of techniques, methods, tools, and equipment for preparing and cooking high quality food on a large scale
- proven ability to teach and mentor kitchen employees
- exceptional communication and supervisory skills
- Food Handler's Certification
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- ability to think quickly and adapt
- interpersonal skills to engage effectively with business contacts
- availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- effective written and oral communication
- experience with cost and labor management software preferred

Job Duties
- Mentor and train all back-of-house staff
- work alongside and support the line to ensure smooth prep and service
- maintain budgets and costs of the back-of-house
- create quarterly and annual budgets
- execute and develop all company standard operating procedures
- manage and systemize all food production
- oversee inventory and purchasing
- ensure food and labor cost goals are met
- manage ordering duties for food, paper, and cleaning supplies
- establish staffing pars and oversee hiring
- develop a talent pipeline through succession planning
- manage daily performance of BOH management and team
- collaborate with Human Resources on hiring, firing, training, coaching, scheduling, and disciplining
- interview, select, and train all BOH staff
- establish labor budgets in partnership with COO
- approve expenditures for facility repairs and maintenance
- analyze real-time sales data and food cost
- oversee kitchen during prep and service
- handle guest concerns related to kitchen and food
- ensure safety and sanitation procedures
- ensure food production standards are met for beer hall and private events
- ensure adherence to health protocols and certifications
- oversee kitchen and building facilities maintenance
- develop innovative recipes and menus
- develop Sous Chefs in leadership and technical skills
- identify and develop talent within BOH
