This role centers around learning and supporting the full-service Murray's Cheese experience. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of an in-store Murray's Cheese Master to create an outgoing and personal cheese-focused retail environment. This position requires a genuine enthusiasm for cheese, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers in a way that enhances their appreciation and understanding of cheese. The employee will play an essential role in upholding the company's mission by embodying its core values and contributing to creating a warm and inviting shopping experience.

In this role, the individual will be actively involved in tasks such as cutting, wrapping, and merchandising cheese as well as other related grocery items. A significant part of the job involves daily cheese tastings to build product knowledge and demonstrate expertise to customers. Active customer engagement is a key component, where ongoing conversations and tasting sessions help customers make informed decisions while enjoying their shopping experience. The role demands proactive customer service, ensuring that customers feel welcomed, inspired, and motivated. Additionally, the employee will be responsible for meeting sales targets and contributing to the gross profit goals of the store.

The role also involves strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to guarantee the highest standards for all products. Maintaining the store's merchandising standards by ensuring products are fully stocked, fresh, properly signed, and rotated is critical to delivering a superior shopping experience. Completion of Murray's Basic Skills Training and Red Jacket Training is required to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. The employee will also contribute to creating the Murray's Boutique experience by providing effective education, service, and cross-selling initiatives to promote designated products.
