The Checker/Server role at T&C represents a dynamic, multifaceted position integral to the operation of the company's Fieldhouse Restaurant and front-end areas. This position is ideal for someone who loves helping people and thrives in a team-oriented environment. The role demands enthusiasm and flexibility, as the Checker/Server is expected to manage multiple responsibilities, including greeting guests, processing orders efficiently through the restaurant’s POS system, and supporting the front-end team with grocery bagging and other duties as needed. The person filling this role will bring a warm, smiling presence to the customer experience and help maintain a clean, orderly atmosphere that reflects T&C’s high standards.

Working at T&C as a Checker/Server means being an essential part of a community hub where exceptional guest service is paramount. The role goes beyond simple transactional interactions; it involves actively engaging with guests to ensure their satisfaction throughout their visit, from entry through checkout. This includes checking in with guests at tables, delivering food and beverages such as beer and wine, efficiently running the check stand area, and accurately handling daily sales transactions. Additionally, the role supports the maintenance of safety, security, and sustainability policies within all operational tasks.

This position requires openness and availability from 7 am to 10 pm, flexible enough to cover all days Sunday through Saturday, reflecting the company’s commitment to meeting customer needs at varied hours. Job Duties

  • Provides excellent customer service to all guests
  • takes orders through Restaurant POS system, pours beer and wine, delivers food to tables, checks in with guests, and cleans tables when needed
  • runs check stand area efficiently and accurately and is responsible for daily sales transactions for both Front End and Restaurant Check Stands as assigned
  • bags groceries and retrieves carts when needed
  • answers phones when needed
  • maintains department and Restaurant in a neat, clean and orderly manner
  • provides and role models attitude of service to staff and guests
  • keeps up on industry trends, standards, and changes
  • supports and follows all company and department policies
  • supports and follows sustainability programs
  • supports and follows all safety and security policies
  • operates within the Company’s Core Values, Company Brand, and Business Principles
