As a Checker, you will be directly supervised by the Front End Supervisor and will play a key role in maintaining outstanding customer service aligned with company standards. This position requires efficiently processing sales transactions, accurately operating cash registers, and safeguarding company assets. The job involves physical tasks such as bending, standing, stooping, lifting, walking, and kneeling, with specific weight lifting requirements (regularly lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds). The fast-paced grocery store environment demands both physical endurance and attentiveness to detail.

Candidates should be able to read and comprehend product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Writing simple correspondence and effectively communicating with customers, clients, and team members in one-on-one or small group situations is vital. The role also calls for applying common sense to follow detailed, yet uncomplicated written or oral instructions accurately.
