Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous retail or grocery store experience preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, stooping for prolonged periods
- regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
- occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- ability to follow detailed but straightforward oral and written instructions
- bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and write Spanish and English
- strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and co-workers
- capability to read and comprehend product labels, pricing codes, and simple instructions
- effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group presentations
- basic computer skills including PC and Outlook proficiency are a plus
- retail management certification is advantageous
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service
- process sales transactions quickly and accurately
- operate cash register and handle cash responsibly
- ensure the accuracy of product pricing and labels at checkout
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
- lift and move products as required
- safeguard company assets and adhere to operational standards
