Job Description
The practice inviting new physicians to join is a prestigious concierge family medicine group situated in an affluent suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina. This well-established primary care group currently includes 11 dedicated physicians and is seeking to expand by adding an additional family medicine physician to its roster. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated family medicine physician to join a practice that prioritizes personalized patient care within a unique concierge model.
This practice operates exclusively on an outpatient basis, utilizing a hospitalist program to manage inpatient care. This allows physicians in the group to focus entirely on outpatient services, delivering high-quality personalized healthcare to their patients. Patients in this practice pay a membership fee that guarantees highly personalized and attentive service, while the physicians also maintain relationships with insurance providers enabling flexible patient care options. This hybrid approach combines the benefits of concierge medicine with traditional insurance-based care.
Physicians enjoy a highly favorable work schedule, working a 4-day workweek that supports an excellent work-life balance. With a manageable patient load of typically 4 to 6 patients per day, physicians can dedicate ample time to each consultation, fostering meaningful patient relationships and thorough healthcare delivery. Each physician is responsible for managing a full panel of about 300 to 350 patients, a panel size that is attainable typically within two years of starting at the practice.
Physicians are integrally involved in coordinating patient care beyond their direct visits, managing subspecialist consultations, coordinating appointments, and providing feedback and collaboration to ensure comprehensive patient management. The group itself operates a variety of ancillary services, creating a robust support network and allowing physicians to provide a full spectrum of care to their patients.
Financially, the position offers a competitive base salary along with a solid benefits package. Physicians can achieve financial potential in the range of $300,000 annually once a full patient panel is established. This financial stability, combined with the fulfilling nature of concierge medicine practice and the supportive work environment, positions this opportunity as highly desirable to qualified candidates.
Charlotte, North Carolina, provides an exceptional backdrop for this practice opportunity. As one of the 25 largest cities in the United States and the largest city in North Carolina, Charlotte is a vibrant and rapidly growing urban center with a population approaching 800,000 residents. The city is a significant economic hub, hosting more than 10 Fortune 1000 companies including renowned corporations such as Bank of America, Lowe's, and Wachovia Corporation.
Charlotte is culturally and recreationally rich, home to professional sports teams like the NFL's Carolina Panthers and the NBA's Charlotte Hornets. Residents and visitors also enjoy attractions like the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the U.S. National Whitewater Center, which offer unique entertainment and outdoor experiences. The combination of a thriving medical practice and this dynamic city environment makes this physician position highly attractive to those wishing to establish a rewarding career in family medicine.
