The role available is that of a Part-Time Cashier, an essential position within the guest service team. This role involves engaging directly with guests, providing a warm welcome, and accurately processing payments via various methods such as cash, credit cards, room charges, and comp slips. Job Requirements

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
Previous cashiering experience is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Ability of simple reading, math, writing and task completion skills
Must have coordination, supervising, following instructions, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making skills
Flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate

Job Qualifications

Previous cashiering experience is preferred
Ability to deal with guests and team members in a tactful and respectful manner
Ability of simple reading, math, writing and task completion skills
Skills in coordination, supervising, following instructions, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making
Flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age

Job Duties

Greet and seat guests by utilizing department greeting and steps of service
Manage reservations including calling and confirming upcoming reservations
Manage waitlist by providing accurate wait time estimates
Address guest inquires
Receive payment from guests in the form of cash, credit cards, and room charges and comp slips
make changes as needed, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed to accurately balance all monetary transactions
Make deposits/cash drops, complete appropriate cashier paperwork/reports, balance and secure bank
Interact with team members and guests in a professional and polite manner including complaints and concerns are effectively handled
Communicate special requests with management, service staff, and culinary team
Assist the support team to turn tables faster by resetting them quickly and efficiently
Take to-go orders and assure the orders are packed with the required condiments
Support and maintain Grand Sierra Resort guest service guidelines and other policies and procedures
Help maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
