The role available is that of a Team Member focused on supporting front-of-house operations through multiple responsibilities. The Team Member plays an essential part in maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness by clearing and resetting tables efficiently and assisting servers with pre-bussing and busing duties. Additionally, the Team Member will manage the to-go and pick-up areas, assist with beverage refills, and deliver food orders to tables, thereby supporting the smooth flow of service throughout the shift. The position also entails maintaining the cleanliness of equipment such as glassware washing machines and keeping silverware polished to uphold sanitary standards. Participation in pre-shift meetings and learning new menu items are crucial to staying informed about the restaurant’s offerings and service procedures.
Physical demands of this job include standing and walking throughout shifts, frequently reaching, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role is dynamic, requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends, based on business needs. Job Requirements
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Flexible working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Ability to perform repetitive hand motions and occasional grasping
- Ability to use vision abilities including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision
- Effective English communication in written and oral form
Job Qualifications
- Ability to identify menu products
- Capable of working effectively in a team environment
- Proficient in operating glassware washing machine and refill ice and beer bins
- Knowledge of dish room procedures including separating silverware, dishes, and glassware
- Strong communication skills including English proficiency, written and oral
- Basic reading, math, and writing skills
- Skills in compiling, coordination, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making
- Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
- Minimum age of 21 years
Job Duties
- Promptly welcome all guests and ensure they receive responsive, professional, and gracious service always
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond appropriately with urgency
- Communicate effectively with management, chefs, and culinary staff to address guest and team needs
- Clear tables after guests leave and maintain cleanliness of seating areas and tableware
- Assist servers in pre-busing and busing tables, including clearing and setting tables
- Help set up to-go/pick-up area and deliver to-go orders to host desk
- Refill beverages as necessary
- Set and reset tables and side stations before, during, and after service periods
- Deliver food orders to tables efficiently
- Ensure all machines and equipment are cleaned properly
- Fold/roll napkins and keep silverware polished
- Reset tables promptly to maintain flow of service
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and learn new menu items
- Assist kitchen in expediting the service process
- Maintain general cleanliness in the dining room during service periods
- Take, compile, deliver, and put away warehouse orders
- Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
