As a premier urban oasis, The Charles offers visitors an unparalleled experience that melds the rich academic heritage of Cambridge with the vibrant cultural offerings of nearby Boston. Guests at The Charles have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the educational atmosphere, perhaps attending lectures at Harvard University or enjoying a peaceful stroll along the scenic Charles River. Additionally, the hotel's prime location provides easy access to downtown Boston and its many world-class attractions, ensuring a dynamic and fulfilling visit for every guest.

The Charles is an independent, AAA Four Diamond Hotel that exemplifies luxury and comfort, seamlessly blending New England decor with cutting-edge technology throughout its guest rooms. With 18,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor banquet space, the hotel caters to a wide range of events, from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. The hotel also boasts its own distinguished restaurant, Henrietta's Table, which is renowned for its culinary excellence and enhances the overall guest experience. As a proud member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts, The Charles maintains high standards of service and hospitality, consistently delivering memorable stays for its clientele.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Front Desk Agent to join our dynamic team and become the face of The Charles Hotel, ensuring every guest interaction is warm, welcoming, and efficient. This role is pivotal in maintaining the hotel's reputation for exceptional customer service and operational excellence. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the ultimate guest experience guru, expertly handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest requests with a friendly demeanor that makes each visitor feel valued and at home. This position demands a blend of hospitality skills and multitasking prowess, as you will be managing various tasks simultaneously to keep the front desk operating smoothly.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses excellent communication skills, quick-thinking problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering top-tier customer service. You will act as a liaison between guests and various hotel departments, ensuring that every detail of a guest's stay is handled promptly and professionally. Additionally, proficiency with hotel management software and the Microsoft Office suite is essential to perform daily administrative functions efficiently.

This position requires availability to work weekends and evening shifts to meet the needs of our diverse guest clientele. After an initial waiting period, employees hired into full-time roles become eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability income protection, life insurance options, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. We also offer a unique Daily Pay option to provide flexibility and immediate compensation. If you are excited to contribute to a team dedicated to creating lasting memories and exceptional service, join us at The Charles Hotel and be a part of a prestigious hospitality tradition.
