The Certified Printer Field Technician position at Velocity MSC offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team dedicated to delivering outstanding technical support and customer service. This role is primarily field-based, with an expectation of 95% travel using various transport modes, including car and plane, deploying you to customer and retail partner locations predominantly across your designated region. As a Certified Printer Field Technician, your responsibilities focus on diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining a wide array of printing devices, including wide format and stationery printers, dry inkjet minilabs, simplex printers, dye-sublimation equipment, and other related photo center technologies. Your role extends to supporting infrastructure and equipment installations, often involving telecommunications systems at customer premises.

Ideal candidates thrive in high-pressure environments, employing strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues promptly while maintaining top-notch customer service orientation. The role requires operating independently in field settings, often managing helper technicians and upholding rigorous safety standards. Physical fitness is a necessity given the frequent lifting of heavy tools and materials, navigation of uneven terrain, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces. This position is essential for maintaining the company’s reputation for reliability, professionalism, and technical excellence. Reporting to the Field Operations Supervisor, this technician will represent Velocity’s commitment to quality and service excellence while contributing materially to the success of multi-location enterprise clients across the nation.
