Quality Temp Staffing is currently offering an ongoing full-time clinical laboratory position based in Los Angeles, California, offering competitive pay ranging from $26.50 to $30.50 per hour. The department operates with multiple shifts available, including Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holiday duties, supporting flexible scheduling options that align with the company's value of work-life balance.
The role available is for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT I or II), requiring a detail-oriented and compassionate healthcare professional with a license from the California Department of Public Health. The CPT will be tasked with performing venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens safely and accurately. This position demands professionalism, thorough adherence to infection control protocols, and the ability to maintain accurate records using laboratory information systems. Emphasizing patient comfort and safety, the CPT will engage with patients respectfully and reassure them throughout the specimen collection process. Additionally, the role involves maintaining phlebotomy equipment, staying current with phlebotomy techniques and regulations, and ensuring compliance with state health standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- California Department of Public Health (CDPH) license in Phlebotomy (CPT-I)
- minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting
- current CPR certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ability to work weekends
- proof of MMR and Varicella vaccinations or titers
- proof of TB/PPD or chest X-ray within past 12 months
- current annual health clearance
- reliable source of transportation
Job Qualifications
- California Dept. of Public Health (CDPH) license in phlebotomy (CPT-I)
- minimum of one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting
- ability to work alone and follow protocol procedures and regulations
- must be able to work weekends
- high school diploma or equivalent
- basic knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology
- proof of continuing education units (CEU’s) if applicable
- current CPR card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- must have proof of MMR Varicella vaccinations or titers
- proof of TB/PPD or chest X-ray within the past 12 months
- current annual health clearance
- reliable source of transportation
Job Duties
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens ensuring proper labeling and handling
- interact professionally and compassionately with patients ensuring comfort and understanding of the process
- follow protocols to ensure accuracy reliability and high standards in specimen collection
- maintain accurate records and enter data into the laboratory information system
