The organization is committed to innovation, health equity, and a supportive work environment, positioning itself as an employer of choice in the healthcare industry. Banner Staffing Services, a division within Banner Health, connects skilled healthcare professionals with positions that align with their expertise and career goals, ensuring that patients receive the best care possible from qualified staff members.
The role of Patient Care Assistant (PCA) with Banner Home Health in Greeley, Colorado, offers a unique opportunity to deliver direct 1:1 care to patients within a home care environment. Unlike traditional hospital settings, this position allows for flexibility in scheduling and the development of meaningful relationships with patients and their caregivers. The Patient Care Assistant plays an integral part in the patient care team, focusing on enhancing patient comfort and supporting overall health through routine care activities. This role is structured as a PRN (pro re nata) position with the potential for call outs, paid time off, and leave, primarily scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Summit View Hospice East location.
Patient Care Assistants at Banner Health are key contributors to the clinical care team, providing essential support such as assisting patients with daily living activities, collecting and documenting vital health data, and collaborating closely with licensed professionals to ensure continuity of care. The role involves performing various delegated procedures like blood draws and EKG monitoring under supervision, and maintaining accurate medical records. Additionally, PCAs support administrative tasks to enhance operational efficiency and ensure smooth communication within the healthcare unit.
Banner Health emphasizes competitive wages, paid orientation, flexible scheduling options, weekly pay, and robust retirement plans like a 403(b) pre-tax retirement plan. Additional employee benefits include assistance and wellness programs, entertainment and shopping discounts, and an auto purchase plan, making the employment experience rewarding and supportive.
Candidates for this role must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency, current BLS certification, and a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of practice. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in medical terminology and computer literacy. Banner Health also mandates completion of a post-offer occupational health physical assessment, background checks, and drug screening.
The estimated hourly pay for this position ranges from $17.67 to $26.50 based on experience, education, and certifications. This comprehensive compensation reflects Banner Health's commitment to pay equity and transparency while providing a rewarding career path for healthcare professionals who are passionate about making a difference in patients' lives.
