The role of Home Care Aide within Senior Services is a pivotal position that involves delivering hands-on assistance to clients based on personalized Plans of Care. This position requires a compassionate, dependable, and skilled individual who can provide a wide range of support including personal care, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Home Care Aides help participants navigate daily living activities, ensuring they receive the help necessary to live safely and comfortably. Job Requirements
- Ability to assist with lifting positioning and transfers full or partial support
- ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- frequent standing walking bending and reaching
- ability to safely operate transfer equipment when needed
- dependable transportation with proof of automobile insurance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- certified nurse aide (CNA) in good standing with the State of North Carolina
- ability to follow Plans of Care and complete required documentation
- strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment when working with older adults and individuals with disabilities
- experience working with older adults preferred
Job Duties
- Provide personal care and mobility support including assistance with daily living activities transfers and ambulation
- support participants with light housekeeping meal preparation errands and respite care as outlined in the Plan of Care
- monitor participant well-being and communicate changes or concerns promptly to the Home Care office
- maintain accurate documentation and submit required paperwork on schedule
- follow all safety confidentiality and care standards including OSHA and HIPAA requirements
