With a mission rooted in the wholeness of body, mind, and spirit, AdventHealth offers an environment where employees can thrive professionally while growing spiritually. Known for its community-centered approach, AdventHealth values each person for their unique experiences and contributions, fostering a purpose-driven team culture that emphasizes collaboration and mutual support. As one of the prominent health care providers in the United States, AdventHealth operates a wide range of medical facilities including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and specialty care centers. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing the health and well-being of the communities it serves.
This particular role is a full-time medical assistant position based in Denver, Colorado, at one of the facility's Porter clinics. The job involves managing daily clinic operations, delegating duties to office staff, and ensuring adherence to clinic quality, regulatory, billing, and customer service standards. This position serves as the central point of contact for operational issues, addressing them proactively or escalating as needed, thereby supporting relationship-based care aligned with the organization’s mission and core values. The medical assistant will conduct training sessions, review patient care protocols, and guarantee compliance with infection prevention guidelines. Collaboration with healthcare teams to implement best practices and maintain high standards of patient care is a critical component of this role.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring physician schedules to ensure patients are seen promptly, rooming patients, taking vital signs, documenting visit reasons, patient history, and allergies while following nursing protocols. The medical assistant supports physicians during examinations and procedures, ensures open communication for quality care delivery, and independently administers medications while maintaining competency through evaluations. They also audit ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up, manage nursing supplies and equipment, and report any maintenance needs to leadership. Leading front-line staff and providing direct patient care are key aspects of this position. The clinic locations include various Porter clinics such as Neurosurgery One Porter and the Transplant Procedure Clinic, each offering a unique opportunity to contribute to specialized medical fields.
AdventHealth prides itself on offering competitive pay ranging from $20.57 to $32.91 per hour along with comprehensive benefits starting from day one, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, a retirement plan, paid parental leave, and access to career development and wellness resources. The work schedule is predominantly day shifts with full-time hours, providing stability and work-life balance. AdventHealth promotes an inclusive work environment committed to equal opportunity employment in compliance with all federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws and ordinances. Joining AdventHealth means becoming part of a bigger purpose and a community that believes in holistic care and the power of healing through compassion and professional excellence.
