The role available is a full-time medical assistant position based in various Porter clinics throughout Denver, Colorado. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily clinic operations, ensuring adherence to clinic quality and regulatory standards, and supporting relationship-based care models loaded with core organizational values. The medical assistant will function as the key point of contact for daily clinic activities, assessing and resolving issues timely or escalating them as necessary. Responsibilities include training office staff, reviewing patient care protocols, ensuring compliance with infection prevention guidelines, and collaborating with healthcare teams to implement best practices. Additionally, the role involves direct patient care tasks such as rooming patients, taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, and administering medications independently. The position requires consistent management of nursing supplies and equipment, conducting audits of ordered tests, ensuring timely follow-up, and leading front-line clinical staff to maintain high standards of service and care. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related work experience or completion of AHMG based medical assistant training/apprenticeship program
  • Basic Life Support - CPR certification (BLS)
  • current certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the approved organizations (CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA)
  • ability to perform vital signs measurement
  • knowledge of body substance isolation
  • experience in specimen collection
  • preferred phone skills and etiquette
  • preferred organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related work experience or completion of AHMG based medical assistant training/apprenticeship
  • certification in Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS)
  • current certification as a Medical Assistant through approved organizations such as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA

  • strong communication and phone etiquette skills
