Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from recognized certifying body
- Valid BLS certification
- No experience required for entry level
- Minimum one year clinical experience for level II
- Ability to work part-time
- Capability to work in a hybrid environment
- Available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Compliance with clinic protocols and patient privacy regulations
Job Qualifications
- Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Ability to perform routine administrative and patient care duties
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a healthcare team
Job Duties
- Perform telephone message taking with patients documenting encounters and following established protocols and escalation plans
- Manage telephone calls and in basket messages within scope
- Manage forms efficiently
- Participate in performance improvement projects
- Obtain prior authorizations for medications and durable medical equipment as indicated
- Assist medical and nursing staff in examination and treatment of patients
- Ensure smooth operation of the clinic office
