Job Description

Concierge Care Physicians is a distinguished Internal Medicine practice specializing in delivering personalized and compassionate healthcare services to its members. Comprising three experienced providers and supported by a dedicated team of seven staff members, this fast-paced and professional practice is committed to ensuring high-quality patient care. Situated in a dynamic medical environment, Concierge Care Physicians prides itself on fostering strong patient-provider relationships and maintaining an efficient, patient-centered approach to medical services.

The full-time Medical Assistant role at Concierge Care Physicians plays a vital part in supporting the clinical and administrative operations essential to patient care. This position requires a certified medical professional adept in both patient interaction and medical administrative responsibilities. The Medical Assistant will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to facilitate patient examinations and procedures, contributing directly to the smooth functioning of the practice. With an expected work commitment of 40 hours per week, this role is ideal for someone passionate about internal medicine and dedicated to delivering compassionate, attentive care in a professional setting.

The responsibilities of this position extend beyond patient care to include crucial medical administrative tasks such as managing phone communications, scheduling patient appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will handle medication prior authorizations, ensuring treatments and prescriptions are processed efficiently. This administrative proficiency is complemented by hands-on clinical duties including taking and recording vital signs—such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and performing specialized assessments like EKGs, spirometry, and body composition analysis.

Moreover, the Medical Assistant will perform essential clinical procedures like urine dips and ear lavages while applying thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medications. Accuracy in coding medical procedures and diagnoses is also a key responsibility, requiring familiarity with medical terminology and coding standards. The role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.

Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems is critical, with AthenaOne experience considered a strong advantage. This ensures seamless documentation and communication within the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear, concise interactions with patients, providers, and staff. Strong interpersonal abilities, a collaborative spirit, and creative problem-solving skills are essential traits for success in this role.

Overall, joining Concierge Care Physicians means becoming part of a compassionate and professional team dedicated to enhancing patient health outcomes through meticulous medical assistance and superior administrative support. This comprehensive position offers an opportunity to grow within a supportive environment while making a meaningful impact on patient care within an internal medicine setting.
