The role of Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) at Aramark SeniorLife is central to delivering outstanding dining services within senior living communities. This leadership position involves overseeing the daily dining operations while working closely with the Food Service Director to ensure service excellence, safety, and compliance with all regulations. The Certified Dietary Manager will lead, coach, and develop culinary and dining teams to create a positive and productive work environment focused on teamwork and resident satisfaction. Responsibilities include maintaining high food quality and safety standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, handling staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, and managing costs such as food, labor, and inventory. The CDM will also collaborate with community leadership to continuously enhance the dining experience and maintain survey readiness by upholding sanitation and quality standards. Job Requirements

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential
  • Minimum of 1 year leadership experience in relevant sectors such as food service, healthcare, or senior living
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience in food service, healthcare, senior living, long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospitality
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare dining
  • Experience with budgeting, inventory, labor management, and cost controls
  • Experience preparing for state surveys and maintaining regulatory compliance

Job Duties

  • Lead, coach, and develop culinary and dining team members
  • Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and resident satisfaction
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served safely while maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and company food safety regulations
