The position available is for a full-time Diabetes Educator, based at the Gulf Coast Medical Center. This critical role is designed to support the growing diabetes population within the community by providing expert diabetes education and management support. Working primarily daytime shift hours, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, this position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $31.78 to $42.90. The Diabetes Educator will work closely with internal multidisciplinary teams including case managers, social workers, physicians, and dietitians to deliver comprehensive diabetes care across the continuum.

The Diabetes Educator serves not only as a clinical expert but also as an educator and consultant. They are responsible for managing the care of a defined patient population, developing expected patient outcomes, defining appropriate resource utilization, and setting customer satisfaction goals. The role demands a passion for teaching and involves conducting diabetes self-management education classes in an outpatient setting, contributing directly to the strategic initiatives of Lee Diabetes Care.
