The role of a Crew Member at Angry Chickz is essential to the smooth operation of the kitchen and customer service areas. Crew Members are responsible for maintaining sanitation, health, and safety regulations throughout their workstations. They handle tasks such as setup and sanitation of cooking stations, organizing and labeling food products, and operating large-volume cooking equipment like grills, deep-fat fryers, stoves, and griddles. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team environment. Crew Members must be adaptable and willing to perform various roles in the kitchen to meet the demands of a fast-paced setting. The job includes working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of the food service industry. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • able to speak clearly and comprehend directions in English
  • able to read English
  • ability to read/speak Spanish is helpful but not mandatory
  • wear Angry Chickz uniform and non-slip shoes as required by safety department
  • able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • able to bend and twist at the waist
  • occasionally able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • use hands to grasp kitchen tools and utensils
  • manage repetitive hand use
  • able to reach items below waist level, between waist and shoulder level, and above shoulder level
  • able to work in environments with exposure to extreme cold, heat, moisture, and cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a cook or similar role within a restaurant or food service setting
  • knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
  • ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques
  • previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous
  • must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Knowledge of company recipes and preparation
  • ensure food is prepared with care and of the best quality, flavor, and presentation
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • responsible for setup and sanitation of the stations on the line
  • maintain clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • maintaining organization, proper labeling, and rotation of food products
  • operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, stoves, or griddles
  • support the dietary department by following specific dietary requirements for meals
  • ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
