Job Requirements
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- push, pull, carry 75 lbs
- lift moderately heavy loads up to 50 lbs with potential for heavier loads when team-lifting
- bend, reach, kneel, twist, and squat
- stand or walk for longer periods of time
- attend external meetings and events as approved by the general manager
- travel on a limited basis if necessary, as approved by the general manager
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in project coordination
- experience working with financials and budgets
- experience in broadcast or print media helpful
- strong knowledge of sound equipment
- advanced PC skills including MS applications and web-based programs and systems
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- strong customer service skills
- ability to apply a high level of writing skill and organizational thought to each event
- ability to maintain and repair store-owned sound equipment as needed
Job Duties
- Manages store event calendars
- works with directors and department managers on store and community outreach initiatives
- may work on community outreach projects and internal store projects
- defines resource needs according to budgets and develops action plans for programs and events
- collaborates on band budget with general manager
- sources local musicians and bands appropriate for the Central Market brand through social media and referrals
- posts music and events schedule on applicable Central Market store website
- provides event information to the art department for creative and graphic advertisements
- schedules and monitors sound engineers
- provides H-E-B accounts payable vendor forms for vendors prior to events
- maintains and repairs sound equipment
- attends events, meetings, and civic functions representing Central Market to support store objectives
- represents the Central Market at key functions and events
- performs duties such as greeting customers, bussing tables, setup and breakdown of equipment and event area
- maintains good relationships in the community including public, private sectors, and non-profit organizations
