The Assistant Local Manager role is a vital leadership position within Cherry Hill Programs. This position works closely with the Local Manager to lead, develop, and motivate a local team to achieve individual and organizational goals. The Assistant Local Manager plays a key role in maintaining a positive, collaborative environment that aligns with the company’s core values and policies. Responsibilities include assisting with preparations for opening days, including completing hiring, carrying out inventories, setting up and testing equipment, managing staff schedules and training, and learning proper opening and closing procedures. A unique aspect of the role involves taking photos and providing guests with memorable souvenirs, though prior photography experience is not required. The Assistant Local Manager also handles customer service recovery by addressing and resolving guest concerns and service issues to ensure optimal guest satisfaction. Leadership responsibilities include leading by example, reinforcing company policies, troubleshooting technical issues and escalating them appropriately, and assisting with administrative duties such as inventory, scheduling, training, and recruitment. This multifaceted role requires professionalism, strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The position demands flexibility, availability to work during peak retail hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and attendance at mandatory pre-season training. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry equipment up to 10 to 25 pounds and perform sustained periods of standing and walking, including guided choreographed movement. Job Requirements

  • at least 18 years of age
  • previous retail or assistant manager experience preferred
  • previous photography experience preferred
  • ability to lift and carry equipment up to 10-25 pounds
  • ability to stand, walk, and perform easy guided choreographed movement independently
  • positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • availability to attend mandatory pre-season training
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • availability to work a minimum of 20 hours a week or as needed

Job Duties

  • promote a positive, collaborative environment and maintain core values and policies
  • assist local manager with preparations for opening day including completing hiring, inventories, equipment setup and testing, staff scheduling and training, and learning proper opening and closing procedures
  • take photos and provide guests with memorable souvenirs
  • address and resolve customer concerns or service failures to ensure optimal guest experiences and recovery
  • lead by example and reinforce policies and procedures established by senior management
  • troubleshoot technical issues and escalate when needed
  • assist local manager with administrative tasks such as inventory, scheduling, training, and recruiting
  • perform all other duties as assigned
