Job Description

Grifols is a pioneering global healthcare company that has been dedicated to improving people's health and well-being since its establishment in 1909. Headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, Grifols is recognized as a world leader in plasma-derived and transfusion medicines. The company operates across more than 110 countries and regions, developing, producing, and marketing innovative medicines, solutions, and services that make a significant impact in healthcare. Known for its unmatched record of product safety and as the largest plasmapheresis company globally, Grifols continues to strive towards advancing medical science and enhancing patient care worldwide.

As a CENTER MANAGER at Grifols, you will hold the pivotal role of general manager responsible for the overall operations of a Plasma Collection Center. This role requires you to work under broad guidance and general oversight from regional management, managing daily operations with a focus on supervising operational activities and quality controls to meet all applicable policies and regulations. Your leadership will be essential in driving the center towards achieving quarterly performance goals including staffing efficiency, cost per liter targets, and quality key performance indicators. You will be instrumental in creating an organizational environment that stimulates morale and productivity among the workforce, while upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

The CENTER MANAGER is accountable for directing and managing team members, ensuring adequate training measures are in place and quality goals are consistently achieved. You will monitor and evaluate operational activities, develop improvement plans, and implement process changes to maximize center efficiency. Staffing levels must be proactively managed to align with production demands, requiring careful forecasting and resource allocation in collaboration with the regional management team. Personnel functions such as hiring, disciplinary processes, and record maintenance will also fall within your remit.

Strategic planning and direction form another cornerstone of this role, alongside mentoring and supporting teams both within your center and other centers. You will oversee plasma collection and donor selection processes, inventory management, facility maintenance, freezer operations, and the submission of timely operational reports. Maintaining compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA-approved procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP is critical to ensuring the highest production standards.

Additionally, you will be expected to engage in community outreach to enhance public relations and marketing efforts aimed at donor recruitment and retention. Financial oversight includes controlling donor funds and ensuring the accuracy of financial records, as well as collaborating on budget preparation to maintain cost-effective operations. Risk management is a continuous priority, with responsibilities including investigation and remediation of unsafe events or complaints, always striving to minimize the center’s liability.

This role encompasses the ability to perform production employee tasks when necessary and may include assuming regional management oversight during absences. The position offers an estimated salary range of $74,800 to $112,200 annually, with eligibility to participate in up to 30% of the company bonus pool. Additionally, relocation assistance of up to $20,000 is offered, reflecting the company’s commitment to attracting talented professionals worldwide.

Grifols is not just a workplace but a community that values employee growth, professional development, and career progression within a family-like culture that has grown exponentially over the last decade.
