Currently, the Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual for the role of Center Coordinator at the Lewis Recreation Center. This is a part-time roster position offering flexible work schedules including Monday through Friday from 9 am to 10 pm, and Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm, totaling 8 to 20 hours per week. As a roster employee, this hourly role does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid leave, or pension plans, but it provides valuable experience and can serve as a stepping stone towards full-time employment within the city.

Under the supervision of the Center Supervisor, this individual ensures smooth day-to-day operations while exemplifying Greensboro’s core values of honesty, integrity, respect, and stewardship.
Typical responsibilities include responding to public inquiries regarding programs, managing facility usage, monitoring scheduled activities, assisting with the setup and cleanup of event spaces, and maintaining accurate records for attendance, registrations, and financial collections. The role requires exceptional customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in office software such as Word and Excel. Training will be provided for the recreational software system (RecTrac).
Physical demands of the job include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks associated with facility management. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to community service.
