Job Description
ArchWell Health is a pioneering healthcare provider dedicated to enhancing the lives of senior members by delivering superior and compassionate medical services. The company operates neighborhood clinics designed to feel welcoming and accessible, creating a nurturing environment for seniors to become part of a vibrant, wellness-oriented community. ArchWell Health prioritizes providing continuous care to its members, ensuring they feel respected and valued by healthcare professionals who truly care about their well-being, families, and communities. This approach helps foster deeper connections between clinical care teams and senior members, improving overall health outcomes and satisfaction.
As an organization focused on excellence in primary care, ArchWell Health depends on a skilled clinical care team to meet the unique needs of its members. The Medical Assistant - Center Float role is a dynamic and crucial position within this team, designed to offer flexible, comprehensive support that spans various functions within the clinics. This role involves assisting in both front office activities and direct patient care, depending on the demands of the center and the needs of the members on a given day. It ensures smooth operation of primary care providers' daily activities and helps maintain efficiency in patient care delivery.
The Medical Assistant - Center Float is often the first point of contact for members, helping them feel safe and comfortable as they navigate check-in and appointments. Responsibilities include greeting and scheduling members, updating electronic medical records with vital patient information, performing clinical tasks such as measuring vital signs, conducting patient interviews, routine diagnostic testing, and assisting physicians with minor procedures. This role demands high emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to dynamically respond to the changing environment within healthcare clinics.
In addition to clinical duties, the Medical Assistant Float may also be called upon to support administrative operations and provide coverage across multiple ArchWell Health centers as needed. This requires adaptability, teamwork, and a dedication to delivering exemplary patient experiences. ArchWell Health values staff members who are self-motivated and capable of creative problem-solving to deliver care efficiently and empathetically. They seek candidates who demonstrate integrity and a relentless commitment to doing the right thing, embodying the organization's core values of compassion, excellence, trust, respect, resilience, and ethical behavior.
The Medical Assistant Float position demands knowledge of healthcare technology like electronic medical record software and proficiency in managing patient communications, including phone messaging and appointment coordination. Candidates with experience or an interest in senior healthcare and familiarity with gestures towards geriatric patient needs are highly encouraged to apply. The role requires certification such as BLS for Healthcare Providers and benefits from prior phlebotomy and clinical support experience. ArchWell Health promotes professional growth, teamwork, and an enriching work culture that supports employees in their mission to improve health outcomes for senior members.
