The role available at Lochner is an infrastructure construction inspection position that plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and performance of transportation infrastructure projects, including roads and bridges. This position involves supervising subordinate inspectors, overseeing work quality, and maintaining compliance with contract plans, specifications, and construction standards. The ideal candidate will have more than seven years of construction engineering inspection (CEI) experience, particularly with Department of Transportation (DOT) projects focused on road and bridge infrastructure.

The responsibilities include reviewing project activities with contractor personnel, resolving disputes, performing advanced material testing for earthwork, asphalt, concrete, pile driving, drilled shafts, and documenting acceptance. The role demands a thorough understanding of contract documents, standards, and technical data, as well as the ability to generate precise technical reports. Candidates must have advanced knowledge of construction methods and principles and the ability to lead inspection teams effectively.

Working in the field entails exposure to various environmental conditions, including noise, weather extremes, and physical activity levels such as walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
