Job Description

KEITH is a leading firm specializing in Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services, dedicated to supporting transportation infrastructure projects across Central Florida. With a strong presence in the industry, KEITH is known for its commitment to quality, safety, and innovation in the delivery of roadway and bridge construction projects. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and technical excellence. By partnering with FDOT and other key stakeholders, KEITH ensures that all projects meet rigorous standards and contribute positively to the region's transportation network.

The CEI Inspector position at KEITH is a vital hands-on role focused on inspecting FDOT roadway and bridge construction activities. This role directly supports complex infrastructure projects by confirming contractor compliance, performing technical field testing, and carefully documenting construction progress. Working under the guidance of a Senior Inspector, you will contribute to day-to-day inspection activities while gaining valuable exposure to best practices in CEI and FDOT project management.

As a CEI Inspector, you will thrive in an active construction site environment, where attention to detail and accurate record-keeping are paramount. You will be responsible for conducting daily inspections and field verifications to ensure adherence to FDOT Standard Specifications, Standard Plans, and contract requirements. The role includes verifying materials quality through field testing and assisting with construction layout and surveying tasks. Documentation responsibilities include maintaining precise records of pay item quantities, progress verification, PrC entries, and VT reports. Your ability to coordinate professionally with contractors, senior inspectors, and project staff will be essential for resolving onsite issues efficiently and maintaining project quality.

KEITH values inspectors who are eager to grow professionally within a supportive team-focused CEI culture. The company encourages continued certification and development, recognizing that certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector, and FDOT Intermediate MOT enhance both individual expertise and project success. KEITH provides clear career advancement pathways into roles such as Construction Services Supervisor (CSS), Area Project Administrator (APA), Project Administrator (PA), Senior Project Engineer (SPE), and leadership positions.

Working at KEITH means you join a firm that invests heavily in its people. The company offers comprehensive benefits including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans with employer matching fully vested from day one, paid parental leave, company-paid life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and support for work-life balance. The inclusive and team-centered culture includes strong technical support, hands-on mentorship, and ongoing training, helping you build not just a job, but a fulfilling career.

By joining KEITH as a CEI Inspector, you are becoming a key contributor to delivering high-quality transportation infrastructure that serves communities well into the future. This is a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful fieldwork, expand your technical skills, and develop your career in construction engineering inspection with a company that values your expertise and invests in your professional growth.
