Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading event marketing provider known for delivering exceptional person-to-person marketing services, specializing in in-store product demonstrations. As the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco, CDS is dedicated to driving sales and enhancing brand visibility for its customers and Costco members. The Event Manager position at CDS offers a full-time opportunity for a motivated individual to take charge of recruiting, hiring, and supervising a team of in-store Product Demonstrators. This role is critical in maintaining the high standards of product preparation and presentation, including adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations when applicable. The Event Manager will be responsible for training product demonstrators to deliver engaging and informative presentations, ensuring excellent customer service to all club members. The position requires effective communication and coordination with warehouse managers, vendors, and product demonstrators to ensure smooth operations and successful event executions. Additionally, the role involves active participation in grand openings for new locations, contributing to the establishment and growth of CDS's client portfolio.
This role follows a set schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with some flexibility depending on business needs. Job Duties
- Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
- Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
- Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services
- Communicate between multiple managers, vendors and demonstrators
- Participate in new location grand openings as required
