Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a prominent sales and marketing agency specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services primarily for manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. The Event Manager plays a crucial role in managing product preparation and presentation, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, and delivering outstanding service to all club members. This position demands excellent communication skills for coordinating between warehouse managers, vendors, and Product Demonstrators. Additionally, the Event Manager participates in grand openings of new store locations, helping to launch new events effectively. The standard work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, though it may vary based on operational needs.\n\nThe Event Manager is expected to lead by example, fostering a productive and positive environment where part-time staff are recruited, trained, and continuously developed. They will be responsible for supervising demonstration activities, ensuring sales and promotional targets are met or exceeded, and collaborating closely with district managers to evaluate event performance metrics such as execution rates, sales performance, labor hours, and operational costs. The role further requires managing budget and expense controls to optimize revenue and net income while prioritizing customer satisfaction and loyalty through enhanced operations.\n\nCandidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent as a minimum requirement, with two to four years of relevant experience in retail, hospitality, or food service environments. Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
- Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills

- Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships
- Ability to adapt and be flexible according to changes in projects or business environment
- Ability to spend extended periods standing, lift or push up to 50 pounds, work in cold environments as required

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook and web browsers
Job Duties
- Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
- Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
- Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services
- Communicate between multiple managers, vendors and demonstrators
- Participate in new location grand openings as required
- Direct all activities engaged in successful events, promotion and sales of vendor products
- Communicate strategies and tactics to achieve sales, service and operational excellence
