The Event Manager role at CDS is integral to maintaining the company’s high standards of service and operational excellence. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising a team of in-store Product Demonstrators who effectively engage customers and promote products within Costco stores. Your leadership will ensure that all product demonstrations are performed with precision, including strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines when applicable. You will conduct thorough training sessions to equip demonstrators with the skills necessary for outstanding demonstration preparation and exceptional customer service. Communication is key in this role, as you will act as a liaison between warehouse managers, vendors, and your team to coordinate logistics, address challenges, and ensure smooth event execution. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting new location grand openings, helping establish a strong marketing presence from day one. This position follows a consistent schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, promoting a balanced lifestyle while offering full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off. Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
- Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead well performing teams
- Ability to exercise independent judgement
- Able to coach and counsel employees and take correct measures as needed
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Job Duties
- Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
- Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
- Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer service
- Communicate between multiple managers, vendors and demonstrators
- Participate in new location grand openings as required
