Job Description
Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco, widely recognized for delivering top-notch person-to-person marketing services. With a strong presence across numerous locations, CDS specializes in recruiting, training, and managing in-store Product Demonstrators who showcase products directly to consumers. CDS's commitment to excellence has established them as an industry leader, driving sales effectively for both their customers and Costco. Their operational model focuses on high-quality demonstrations that not only engage customers but also enhance the overall shopping experience in Costco stores.
This role is a full-time position for an Event Manager who will play a critical role in the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators. The Event Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of product preparation and presentation while ensuring that all demonstration processes meet stringent food safety and sanitation standards. This position also involves intensive training of Product Demonstrators to deliver exceptional customer service and demonstration skills. The Event Manager will act as a key liaison between warehouse managers, vendors, and the demonstrators, facilitating smooth and effective communication to meet operational goals. A unique aspect of this role is participation in grand openings of new store locations, which requires dynamic coordination and event management skills.
The schedule for this position is typically Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, though hours may vary depending on business needs. CDS offers a competitive full-time benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability plans, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Moreover, employees benefit from a generous paid time off policy and a strong emphasis on work-life balance. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company known for its vibrant culture and success in the event marketing industry.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have between two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food service environments. The role demands individuals who are detail-oriented, capable of leading high-performing teams, and able to exercise independent judgment in various situations. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to coach and counsel employees to improve team performance. Working in a fast-paced setting requires flexibility and adaptability, attributes highly valued by CDS. This position is open until filled, providing flexibility for qualified applicants to apply and join a growing team dedicated to excellence in event marketing and product demonstration.
