Job Description
Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading event marketing agency specializing in in-store product demonstrations. As the preferred in-house event marketing provider for Costco, CDS offers unparalleled person-to-person marketing services that drive sales for both their clients and Costco. With a strong reputation for excellence in event marketing, CDS employs a comprehensive approach to recruiting, training, and managing skilled product demonstrators who effectively engage consumers and showcase products in a manner that maximizes customer interest and sales. The company operates across various retail environments including grocery, mass merchandise, club stores, and specialty markets, making it a prominent link between manufacturers, retailers, and consumers within North America. CDS prides itself on delivering quality marketing activations while ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction with every event it manages.
The role of the Event Manager at CDS is vital in maintaining the high standards of the company’s marketing services. This full-time position requires a dynamic and organized individual responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising in-store product demonstrators. You will be directly overseeing product preparation and presentation, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, and providing extensive training to your team so that they can deliver excellent customer service. The position demands strong communication and coordination skills, as you will act as the key liaison between warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators. Additionally, the Event Manager plays an active role in grand openings for new Costco locations, supporting the launch and promotional efforts with efficient event execution.
The schedule for this role is set from Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, although it may vary depending on business needs. CDS emphasizes work-life balance and offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off. This role is tailored for individuals who possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. The Event Manager is not only a supervisor but a mentor and coach who helps build well-performing teams dedicated to delivering superior product demonstrations and customer engagement. This role offers a great opportunity for career advancement within a reputable company that values innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
