Job Description

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading in-house event marketing company specializing in providing premier person-to-person marketing services. As the preferred event marketing provider to Costco, CDS excels in driving sales by delivering exceptional product demonstrations and engaging customer interactions directly in retail club locations. The company's approach revolves around combining strategic marketing expertise with frontline promotional activities, enabling clients to significantly increase product visibility and consumer trial. CDS is committed to empowering its team members with the resources, training, and support necessary to succeed in dynamic retail environments. This ensures that both staff and clients benefit from superior market engagement and customer satisfaction.

The Event Manager role at CDS is a full-time position pivotal to operational success in supporting Costco’s in-store product demonstration events. The Event Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising part-time Product Demonstrators who represent the face of CDS and its clients in retail settings. This includes overseeing every aspect of product preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and overall product integrity. In this position, the Event Manager will play a crucial role in training demonstrators on proper demonstration techniques and outstanding customer service skills, ensuring that all customer interactions foster trust and promote product benefits effectively.

Beyond day-to-day management, the Event Manager facilitates critical communication among warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators to streamline event operations and meet business objectives. The role requires active participation in new Costco location grand openings, helping launch promotional activities that maximize product exposure from the outset. The Event Manager’s influence extends beyond logistics to shaping a motivated, competent team that upholds CDS’s reputation for excellence.

Working at CDS offers a set schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, which may vary slightly to meet business needs. Employees enjoy a balanced work-life dynamic coupled with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan. CDS values its workforce and invests in their growth and well-being, cultivating a supportive, fast-paced environment suited for professionals passionate about event marketing and team leadership.

Overall, the Event Manager at CDS is positioned as an integral leader responsible for driving personnel and project success within retail event marketing. This role combines hands-on operational oversight with strategic staff development to ensure each product demonstration not only meets but exceeds client and customer expectations. For candidates who thrive in energetic, customer-focused roles and possess strong organizational and leadership skills, this role offers a rewarding career path with opportunities to influence retail marketing outcomes at a significant scale.
