Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a well-established event marketing company primarily serving Costco, one of the largest and most respected wholesale retailers globally. CDS is recognized for delivering the best person-to-person marketing services in the industry, enhancing product visibility and driving sales for both Costco and its diverse range of customers. As the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco, CDS prides itself on offering exemplary service through strategic event management and skilled product demonstrations. The company operates with a customer-centric approach, emphasizing quality presentation and precise coordination between staff, vendors, and warehouse management to create seamless, impactful in-store experiences.

The role of Event Manager at CDS is a full-time position focused on the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators. This pivotal role requires managing all aspects of event execution, from ensuring product preparation and presentation meet the highest standards to training staff in product demonstration techniques and customer service excellence. An Event Manager must maintain strong communication channels between warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators, facilitating a smooth workflow and consistent, professional presentations. This role also involves participating in grand openings of new Costco locations, requiring adaptability and a hands-on approach in varied settings. CDS offers a schedule typically from Tuesday to Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with some scheduling flexibility based on business needs. Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
  • detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • proven ability to lead well performing teams
  • ability to exercise independent judgement
  • able to coach and counsel employees, take correct measures as needs
  • flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
  • oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
  • train product demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services
  • communicate between multiple managers, vendors and demonstrators
  • participate in new location grand openings as required
