Job Description
Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading in-house event marketing company, widely recognized as the preferred provider of product demonstration services to Costco. With a strong commitment to delivering exceptional person-to-person marketing experiences, CDS specializes in driving sales and enhancing customer engagement within retail environments, particularly in warehouse club settings. CDS’s reputation for excellence stems from their strategic focus on quality staffing, thorough training, and close collaboration with warehouse managers, vendors, and store personnel. This ensures customers encounter knowledgeable, enthusiastic product demonstrators who uphold the brand’s promises and boost client success. The company prides itself on fostering a positive work environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and growth opportunities. Their event marketing services are tailored to meet the dynamic demands of retail marketing, particularly those of Costco, emphasizing high standards of product presentation, safety, and customer service.
The Full Time Event Manager role at CDS is a pivotal position dedicated to recruiting, hiring, and supervising product demonstrators who serve in Costco stores. This role demands a detail-oriented and proactive leader who will manage all aspects of in-store demonstrations, including product preparation, training, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring exemplary service to all club members. The Event Manager acts as a liaison between multiple stakeholders such as warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstration staff, creating a seamless communication flow and coordinating efforts especially during events like new location grand openings. This position provides a structured work schedule, typically Tuesday through Saturday with set hours, and offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off. Work-life balance and a supportive team environment further characterize this full-time role.
As an Event Manager, you will play an influential role in the success of product demonstrations by overseeing staffing needs and cultivating a high-performing team. Your responsibilities will span from maximizing team performance to maintaining compliance with food safety and presentation standards. Training and coaching product demonstrators to deliver excellent customer experiences lie at the heart of this position, requiring strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and embraces flexibility as needed to meet the demands of retail event marketing. By joining CDS, you become part of a respected company focused on impactful marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and sales outcomes. This role also offers opportunities to participate in significant events such as grand openings, further enriching your professional experience in event management and retail marketing.
