Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a specialized event marketing company committed to providing top-tier person-to-person marketing services. As the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco, CDS has established itself as a leader in the retail marketing sector by driving sales and enhancing customer engagement through product demonstrations and in-store marketing activations. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Event Manager specializing in Product Demonstrations to join our dedicated team. This role is integral to the day-to-day success of our marketing events and requires exceptional leadership and organizational skills. The Event Manager will be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators, ensuring that every product demonstration maximizes customer engagement and drives sales. This position involves overseeing all aspects of product preparation and presentation, including adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols, conducting training sessions to guarantee that Product Demonstrators deliver excellent customer service, and managing communication across multiple stakeholders including warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Event Manager will also participate in major events such as new location grand openings, playing a critical role in introducing new stores to the local market and helping to establish a seamless customer experience. The role follows a set schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with some flexibility according to business needs. Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
  • detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • proven ability to lead well performing teams
  • ability to exercise independent judgement
  • able to coach and counsel employees, take correct measures as needs
  • flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
  • oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
  • train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services
  • communicate between multiple manager, vendors and demonstrators
  • participate in new location grand openings as required
