Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a premier in-house event marketing provider specializing in product demonstrations within retail environments, particularly recognized for its preferred partnership with Costco. The Event Manager position at CDS is a full-time role integral to the recruitment, training, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators who are the front-line ambassadors representing various products to Costco members. The successful candidate will have a hands-on role in managing product preparation and presentation to ensure compliance with safety standards and customer engagement excellence. This includes direct oversight of staffing needs, supporting product demonstrators in their roles, and collaborating closely with warehouse personnel and vendors to coordinate schedules and logistics. The role requires participation in special events such as new Costco location grand openings, which are critical high-visibility occasions demanding detailed planning and flawless execution.

The position offers a set schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, typically 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, although flexibility may be required depending on business needs. Job Requirements

  • Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
  • Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead well performing teams
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement
  • Able to coach and counsel employees, take correct measures as needs
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
  • Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
  • Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services
  • Communicate between multiple managers, vendors and demonstrators
  • Participate in new location grand openings as required
