Job Description

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a premier event marketing company recognized as the trusted in-house event marketing provider to Costco, one of North America's largest retail club chains. CDS specializes in delivering exceptional person-to-person marketing services, driving sales through effective product demonstration and customer engagement. Their success stems from a commitment to quality service, strong vendor relationships, and a well-trained team of product demonstrators who bring product offerings to life right in the store environment. As a leader in outsourced sales and marketing, CDS supports a wide range of customers including manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food and consumer packaged goods, promoting their products across several retail trade channels such as grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, and club stores. With a strong foundation in driving sales and enhancing customer experience, CDS is a stimulating workplace for professionals passionate about retail marketing and event management, with a clear focus on growth, innovation, and excellence.

The Event Manager role at CDS is critical to the company’s success in maintaining its high standards and expanding its reach within Costco stores and beyond. As a Full-Time Event Manager, you will oversee the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in-store product demonstrators, ensuring they are well-prepared and trained to deliver engaging and effective product presentations. You will be responsible for coordinating activities across warehouses, vendors, and demonstrators, while also maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. This dynamic position requires someone with excellent leadership and communication skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. The job offers a set schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, providing a balanced work-life schedule. CDS values its employees, offering comprehensive full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, 401(k) plans, and generous paid time off.

In this role, you will lead efforts to ensure successful event promotions and product sales through strategic planning, staff development, and operational excellence. Partnering with district managers and other staff, you will analyze performance metrics to optimize event outcomes and revenue objectives. You will be actively involved in grand openings of new locations, offering an exciting opportunity to shape new market successes. The position demands strong judgment, team coaching abilities, and flexibility to adapt as business needs evolve. Additionally, candidates must be NEHA certified in professional food handling, underscoring CDS’s dedication to safety and quality in all demonstrations. Overall, this role is ideal for driven individuals eager to contribute to a leading sales and marketing agency that values innovation, customer satisfaction, and team leadership within a supportive corporate culture.
