Job Description

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a premier event marketing company specializing in providing in-store product demonstration services primarily to Costco, one of the largest wholesale warehouse clubs in North America. As the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco, CDS has established itself as a leader in person-to-person marketing by driving product sales and enhancing consumer engagement through dynamic and interactive product demonstrations. CDS's core mission is to connect manufacturers and retailers effectively, enabling consumers to access and experience the best products available in the market. The company operates across multiple retail channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty stores, convenience stores, drugstores, dollar stores, club stores, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers. This extensive reach ensures CDS's capability to market a diverse range of consumer packaged goods and food products, helping clients boost brand awareness, sales, and customer loyalty.

The Full-Time Event Manager role at CDS is a critical position tasked with leading the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators who represent a vital interface between customers and products. The Event Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of product demonstrations, ensuring that all product preparation and presentation meet high standards of quality, food safety, and sanitation. This is essential for providing an exceptional shopping experience to Costco members and driving sales growth. The role requires close collaboration with warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators to maintain smooth operations and coordinate logistics. Additionally, the Event Manager plays an active role in grand openings of new Costco locations, helping to establish successful promotional events from the outset.

This position offers a structured work schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with some flexibility based on operational needs. It is a full-time position accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and generous paid time off, supporting a strong work-life balance.

The role demands a strong leader who is detail-oriented and possesses excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have two to four years of relevant experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments, demonstrating an ability to build and lead high-performing teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Furthermore, the position requires the ability to coach and counsel employees, ensuring that best practices are adhered to and that the team remains motivated and well-prepared.

As part of the company's broader mission and service model, the Event Manager will also engage in reporting and analyzing event performance metrics in collaboration with District Managers. This includes evaluating execution rates, sales results, labor hours, and operational costs to optimize event effectiveness and profitability. The position also requires adherence to corporate governance frameworks, policies, and procedures ensuring operational excellence. The Event Manager must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, thriving in changing environments and responding effectively to business dynamics.

In summary, the CDS Full-Time Event Manager position is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to contribute meaningfully to a leading sales and marketing agency, helping bridge the gap between manufacturers and retail consumers through impactful in-store events. With a robust support system, strong team environment, and competitive benefits, CDS offers a rewarding career path in event management and retail marketing.
