Job Description

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading event marketing company that specializes in providing top-notch in-house marketing solutions for Costco, one of the world's largest wholesale retailers. CDS has established itself as a preferred provider known for delivering exceptional person-to-person marketing services that drive sales and enhance customer engagement. The company operates within a dynamic industry, focusing on retail event management, which includes product demonstration and live marketing events to create impactful consumer experiences. CDS prides itself on fostering a professional and supportive work environment that promotes growth, innovation, and excellence in service delivery.

The role of Event Manager at CDS is a full-time position that carries significant responsibilities to ensure successful execution of in-store promotional events. This position entails recruitment, hiring, and supervision of part-time Product Demonstrators who showcase various products directly to Costco members. As an Event Manager, the candidate will oversee product preparation and presentation, emphasizing food safety and sanitation standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Additionally, the Event Manager serves a critical communication link between warehouse management, vendors, and in-store demonstrators, ensuring all parties are aligned and coordinated.

This position requires strong leadership and management skills to train Product Demonstrators in both demonstration techniques and excellent customer service practices. The role involves hands-on participation in key events such as the grand opening of new store locations, reflecting the company’s dynamic and growth-oriented culture. The Event Manager is expected to operate with independence, exercise sound judgment, and effectively manage a team within a fast-paced, retail marketing environment. Furthermore, the position offers a structured schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, though this may vary based on operational needs.

CDS provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of its employees, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and both short- and long-term disability coverage. The company also offers a 401(k) retirement plan, generous paid time off, and a strong emphasis on work-life balance. This job opportunity is ideal for candidates who seek a rewarding career in retail event management with a reputable industry leader recognized for superior marketing services. The Event Manager role is crucial to CDS’s mission to deliver exceptional product demonstrations that enhance the shopping experience for Costco members and drive sales for both the vendor clients and Costco itself. Candidates interested in joining the CDS team and contributing to these high standards are encouraged to apply promptly, as the position remains open until filled.
