Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading in-house event marketing provider specializing in person-to-person marketing services, proudly partnered as the preferred provider for Costco. The Event Manager position at Club Demonstration Services is a full-time role pivotal to the company’s marketing success. The person in this role will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising in-store Product Demonstrators, who play a critical role in representing the products to Costco members. This leadership role demands a meticulous approach to overseeing product preparation, presentation, and the comprehensive training of Product Demonstrators, ensuring all demonstrations meet company standards, including strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines where applicable. The Event Manager will act as a vital communication bridge among warehouse managers, vendors, and Product Demonstrators, facilitating smooth coordination and timely information sharing. Additionally, the role requires active participation in new location grand openings, which are key moments for brand exposure and customer engagement.
This position offers a set work schedule typically from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, though the schedule may vary based on business needs. Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
- Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead well performing teams
- Ability to exercise independent judgement
- Able to coach and counsel employees, take correct measures as needed
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment

Job Duties
- Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
- Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
- Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services
- Communicate between multiple managers, vendors and demonstrators
- Participate in new location grand openings as required
