Job Description
Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading event marketing company specializing in in-store product demonstrations. As the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco, CDS prides itself on delivering top-tier person-to-person marketing services that effectively drive sales for both customers and the retail giant, Costco. Founded with the mission to help brands connect with consumers in meaningful and engaging ways, CDS has built a reputation for excellence in execution, ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders including vendors, warehouse managers, and store locations. Operating primarily in retail environments, especially within Costco stores, CDS provides dynamic opportunities for those passionate about event management, retail marketing, and customer engagement to grow and excel within a supportive and results-driven company. The company operates with a strong emphasis on teamwork, leadership, and quality service, creating an environment that fosters professional development and career advancement for dedicated employees.
The role of Event Manager at CDS is a full-time position with a standard Tuesday through Saturday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, though hours may vary based on business needs. This position is instrumental in the success of CDS's product demonstration events by overseeing the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators. As an Event Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that demonstrators are well-prepared and present products effectively, while consistently delivering outstanding customer service to Costco members. You act as the central communication link between warehouse managers, vendors, and the demonstrators, coordinating smooth operations and addressing any issues that arise during event execution.
In addition to daily operational duties, this leadership role may include participation in new Costco location grand openings, highlighting the importance of adaptability and team coordination in ensuring successful rollouts and promotional events. The Event Manager position requires someone who is highly detail-oriented with strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment. CDS offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off. Overall, this role offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals seeking a career in event management and retail marketing with a reputable and industry-leading organization.
