Job Description
Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a reputable and dynamic company specializing in in-store event marketing and product demonstration services. As the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco, CDS prides itself on delivering the best person-to-person marketing services in the industry, enhancing customer engagement and driving sales for both our valued clients and Costco. With a strong focus on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, CDS operates with a dedicated team of professionals committed to excellence in product demonstration and event management. We offer a supportive work environment with an emphasis on work-life balance, full-time employment, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off. Our set work schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, fosters consistency while allowing flexibility based on operational needs.
The role of Event Manager at CDS is a critical leadership position responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of part-time Product Demonstrators who engage customers directly within retail store environments. As an Event Manager, your core responsibility will be to oversee all facets of product preparation and presentation, ensuring food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly adhered to, particularly in environments involving food demonstrations. This role demands strong communication capabilities as you will serve as the vital link between warehouse managers, vendors, and in-store staff, coordinating logistics, training schedules, and live event execution. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in training Product Demonstrators on demonstration preparation and delivering exemplary customer service, which is paramount in maintaining high standards and enhancing customer experience.
Your leadership skills will be central to recruiting high-quality part-time staff, fostering a productive team environment, and coaching employees to maximize performance and professionalism. The Event Manager will also have an active involvement in new Costco location grand openings, where your expertise will contribute to successful event launches and ongoing operational excellence. This position is ideal for an individual with strong attention to detail, excellent leadership qualities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail, hospitality, or food service setting. Proven experience in managing teams, exercising independent judgment, and flexibility to adapt quickly are essential attributes for success in this role. By joining CDS as an Event Manager, you will be part of a forward-thinking company that values personal growth, outstanding service delivery, and an inclusive team culture, all aimed at driving business success and customer satisfaction in the competitive retail event marketing industry.
