Job Requirements

  • Must have one year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or one year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
  • ability to read, write, and speak English well
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • legally eligible to work in the location of the job
  • valid CDL Class A or Class B with air-brake endorsement upon hire

Job Qualifications

  • One year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or one year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
  • ability to read, write, and speak English to interact with public, understand traffic signs, and complete reports
  • minimum age of 18 years
  • legal eligibility to work in the country
  • CDL Class A with air-brake endorsement upon hire or CDL Class B with air-brake endorsement upon hire
  • high school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Operate vehicle according to WM safety, OSHA, DOT, and local laws
  • perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR
  • report unsafe situations and service-related issues promptly
  • participate in training programs and team meetings
  • collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency
  • notify manager of incidents, accidents, or service interruptions
  • communicate customer requests to Operations Manager
  • empty all receptacles completely and maintain clean customer locations
  • follow route assignments and complete end-of-day documentation
  • assist other drivers as needed to meet customer needs
