Job Description

AmeriGas, founded in 1959, stands as the nation’s premier propane company, serving over 1.5 million residential, commercial, industrial, and motor fuel propane customers across the United States. With more than 6,500 dedicated professionals, AmeriGas delivers over 1 billion gallons of propane each year from more than 1,800 distribution points nationwide. The company prides itself on its commitment to safety, customer service, and career development, offering its employees an opportunity to be part of a leading enterprise in the energy sector. AmeriGas is also a proud Equal Opportunity Employer and maintains a drug-free workplace, ensuring a safe environment for all workers. The company’s culture emphasizes inclusivity, respect, and responsible business practices, making it a reputable and stable employer in its industry.

AmeriGas is currently seeking motivated and safety-minded Delivery Representatives to join their team. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $26.40 to $27.40, depending on qualifications and experience. Delivery Representatives are critical to AmeriGas’s operations as they ensure the safe and timely delivery of propane to customers while maintaining high standards of service and adherence to safety protocols. The role requires operating propane delivery trucks along designated routes and filling residential and commercial bulk tanks with propane. In addition, representatives will deliver propane cylinders to commercial and industrial customers. The work involves compliance with Federal and State regulations, AmeriGas safety policies, and the consistent use of personal protective equipment. Shifts typically last between 8 to 12 hours, depending on operational needs.

Employees in this role enjoy a range of benefits designed to promote safety, well-being, and career advancement. These include a $5,000 sign-on bonus, ongoing safety incentives, career growth opportunities with annual performance reviews, and uniforms provided by the company. AmeriGas ensures that employees have time for rest and rejuvenation with 17 paid time off (PTO) days plus seven paid holidays each year. Comprehensive medical and dental coverage options are available year-round. Additional benefits include a 401(k) with company match, propane discounts, and an employee referral program. Delivery Representatives are home every day, making this position attractive for individuals seeking stability and work-life balance.

To qualify for this exciting career opportunity, candidates must hold a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with hazmat and tanker endorsements. A clean driving record, successful completion of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, drug test, and background check are mandatory. Delivery work often requires outdoor labor in all types of weather and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, underscoring the physical demands of the role. AmeriGas emphasizes a culture of safety and requires strict adherence to all company and regulatory safety standards to protect employees, customers, and the community.

In summary, working as a Delivery Representative at AmeriGas offers more than just a job—it provides a career path with the potential for growth, excellent pay, and comprehensive benefits.
