The Swing Driver role at GFL Environmental involves the safe operation of various vehicle types, including Front End, Roll Off, Residential, and other trucks, serving customers through different collection methods effectively and efficiently. As a Swing Driver, the incumbent is responsible for delivering collected solid waste or recyclables to landfills, Material Recovery Facilities (MRF), or transfer stations while maintaining consistent service by filling in for various routes as needed. This role requires flexibility, physical stamina, and an unwavering commitment to safety and professionalism. Attention to detail in completing inspections and paperwork, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and adhering to company safety policies are essential components of this position. Swing Drivers also manage helpers when applicable, provide training assistance to other drivers, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
