Job Description

ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest and most respected providers of facility services and solutions. Founded in 1909, ABM has grown into a leading force committed to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable spaces around the globe. With an impressive portfolio of services ranging from janitorial and engineering to electrical, lighting, energy management, HVAC, landscaping, and mission-critical solutions, ABM serves a wide variety of industries including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues. Operating through over 350 offices across the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, ABM serves more than 20,000 clients with an annualized revenue nearing $8 billion, supported by a diverse workforce exceeding 100,000 employees.

ABM proudly embraces diversity and inclusion as core values, being an equal opportunity employer committed to providing reasonable accommodations and support for individuals with disabilities. The company actively supports veterans and military members, recognizing the unique skills and dedication they bring. ABM also participates in E-Verify, ensuring compliance with U.S. employment eligibility regulations.

The Shuttle Driver role at ABM plays a vital part in the safe and efficient transportation of passengers across various designated locations such as airports, commercial complexes, hospitals, sports arenas, entertainment venues, educational campuses, or warehouses, depending on contractual requirements. This position is well-suited for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, offering on-the-job training and no prior experience or educational prerequisites. The role typically involves transporting passengers, safely loading and unloading belongings, and accommodating passengers with special needs by operating specialized equipment like wheelchair lifts.

Key responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-vehicle inspections to maintain safety and compliance with Department of Transportation standards, maintaining cleanliness and disinfecting the shuttle after each use, refueling and monitoring equipment usage, and providing excellent customer service by assisting passengers courteously and responding to inquiries effectively. The driver also plays a critical role in emergency preparedness by enforcing evacuation plans and promptly reporting incidents to supervisors.

This role may require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with specific class and endorsements depending on the assignment. ABM’s military and veteran-friendly policies make this an excellent career opportunity for former service members, especially those with relevant Military Occupational Specialty Codes such as 88M, LS, 3531, or 2T1X1. With comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment, the Shuttle Driver position offers not only employment but also the opportunity to grow within a global company that values its team members and their development.
